Windows Vista configuration prevents editing or changing files installed to C:\program files\

Description:

The standard Windows Vista configuration prevents editing or changing files installed to C:\program files\. Vista will appear to allow you to change these files, but it is changing a copy of the files stored in the specific user’s directory. 

Example: 

C:\Users\<username>\Local Settings\VirtualStore\Program Files\…” 

To prevent this, do one of the following: 

1. Run BBj, Admin, EM, or any of the associated apps, as Administrator by right-clicking and selecting, ‘Run as..’ 
2. Install to the root directory instead (C:\BASIS) 
3. Disable the Vista UAC account:
