SCO Spooler Killing Direct Print Jobs

Description:

SCO has a Kernel Security parameter SECSTOPIO which when set at default of 1 will cause the Spooler to kill processes attached to a print device that 
it shares. 

This is most commonly seen when a Direct device print alias and a spooled alias are accessing the same physical device. The result will be that the 
process attached to the direct device print alias will be killed when the spooler attempts to access the device. 

Resolution:

This behavior can be changed by setting SECSTOPIO to 0 and relinking the kernel.
