Title:

Error 115 returned when installing P5 2.1 without long filename support

Description:

When installing P5 2.10 on a Novell Network, an Error -115 is returned by Install Shield when approximately 98% through copying files. 

At this point of the installation, the new filetype utilities are being copied. The names are: 

MKRECOVER and MKCONVERT 

Both files are 9 characters long and so they cannot be copied onto the Novell Server w/o long filename support being active. 

Resolution:

a.) Turn on long filename support 

b.) Choose Custom Install and don’t install Utilities. This eliminates these 2 utilities from being installed. 

c.) Install the P5 somewhere else, and remove these 2 files if you don’t want them.
