00665: An SQL query in MS Access results in ‘ #Name?’ in every field

Title:

An SQL query in MS Access results in ‘ #Name?’ in every field

Description:

When another user has a record locked in data file that’s being queried, MS Access may fill all fields in the result table with #NAME? This problem can be demonstrated by using VPRO/5 and MS Access 97 via the following steps:

1) In VPRO/5, extract a record
2) Perform a query in Access that references the same data file and field.
3) Scrolling to end of the resultant table will cause the behavior mentioned above. You will see a “Busy Time out error” but all the fields will change to #NAME?
