Description:

Attempting to READ a file that exists on a CD will result in an ERROR=13

Resolution:

A CD-ROM is a read only device and BBx by default opens files with READ/WRITE. Opening the file as READ ONLY should work fine: 

OPEN (chan,mode="O_RDONLY")filename$
