Winsock error 10044, ESOCKTNOSUPPORT issued when starting the PRO/5 NT Data Server -10044

Description:

This error occurred attempting to start the NT Data Server when TCP/IP wasn't installed. The entire message is: 

server: error getting socket, errno: 10044 

Ping can be used to determine whether the TCP/IP is installed. 

Resolution:

Ensure that the TCP/IP protocol has been installed and configured correctly.
