Description:
There is a limitation under DOS of how many characters can be passed (255) on the compiler command line in TAOS. Directory structures that are long will result in the following error:
BBX ERR (0) fatal error -unable to open file
or
BBX4CPL.EXE: fatal error -unable to open file
Resolution:
Shorten the directory stucture or shorten the directory names. This will result in a shorter command line that should fit in DOS’ 255 character limit.
