00077: Reading and writing to tape in a program

Title:

Reading and writing to tape in a program

Description:

Use a “no-rewind” type of tape drive, so the drive doesn’t rewind during periods of inactivity in the program, and overwrite previously written data. In the CONFIG.BBX, specify the tape drive as a printer by beginning the BBXname with an “L” or a “P”. Open the device in the program and perform WRITE RECORDS to output the data. To read a tape, don’t need to use an alias. Open the device and use READ RECORDs to read the data.
